| Thanks. I know the genre doesn't work for a lot of people, but I enjoy it. I think the next few years is going to be centered around getting my stuff more approachable.
For instance, here is a review on the site Bytten. The guy hated the game. Now, he hadn't played a text adventure since Adventure, it seems -- Adventure was frustrating as hell, and there's been a sort of grammar to text games that frequent players just get. So I do not disagree with his experience at all. I would LOVE to set something up, possibly web-based, where a game of mine harvests moves from anonymous players so I can at least help them out in the beginning. (The thing I like about that review most is that he still enjoyed the music. That's what having a genius like FullofKittens on your team does. Gets you a 90 in music even if they hate the game.) While I'm bumping this thread, some focused reviews of 2011 text games got posted looking at different aspects of the games themselves. It's here. Those make interesting reading, lots of spoilers.
