Recommended to me by a smart guy, he says the key to deciphering Wolfe's fantasy language is to have the wiki open as you read. Some words are blends of two ancient words, and it all makes sense if you get the references. It was too vague for my humble tastes. I got to a scene where two strangers perform lines in a play they never rehearsed and the play depicts "everything and nothing", and then I put the book away in favor of The Reluctant Admiral. |
