Don't let the exciting (albeit slowdown-riddled) gameplay videos on YouTube fool you; Split/Second was easily the third-worst racer I played this century, after Forza 3 (which was literally and deliberately broken, at least for gamepad players) and Need for Speed: Hot Pursuit: The Most Recent One (which didn't actually have any racing in it, just a series of frustratingly random events happening to officially-licensed cars). Instead of obscuring my vision with some obnoxious filter every time I take damage, why don't the designers just come to my apartment and spit directly into my eye? |
