I was locked in a pretty good siege battle against an enemy's capital. It must have lasted a good 40 turns as my fleet and eventual catapults slowly whittled down the castle. The entire time he'd be very annoying with ambushes and creature summons while recognizing my catapult as the main threat and hitting it whenever he could. It was touch and go if my troops would break before his castle.
Unfortunately, it doesn't seem the AI is that great with the strategic part, which you figure would be a hell of a lot easier than good tactical AI in a MoM/Civ type game. I eventually won because I just built better buildings with better units and taking advantage of silver and iron unit bonuses. The computer had just as many resources and could have done the same. It just...didn't. |
