So, I got this hard drive solution -- 4GB on flash.
I opened up my Amiga and put it inside. I discovered that there was already a 43MB hard drive in there. Nnnnngh. I had never bothered to boot this new one without a game.
It took me a couple times to plug the new hard disk in correctly -- it uses a tiny IDE connector. But once I did, it came up and asked me which Amiga OS I wanted to install. Oh, and it expected me to have floppy disks for it.
I do not doubt that they told me this (FAKE EDIT: I checked, they didn't), I just wasn't paying attention. I seem to have something called "Kick 1.3" and Workbench for the Amiga 500 and 2000, but not one of the AmigaOS revisions the hard drive setup program asked for.
So I'm left trying to find AmigaOS 3.x now.
