Picked it up at Costco for Xbox yesterday. Definitely worth $20.

Main gripe right now: no tutorial mode where you practice the basics, like in ESPN NFL 2K5 and ESPN NBA 2K5. I manged to figure out the K-Zone pitching pretty easily, but the hitting is trickier than any other baseball game I've ever played. Change-ups actually work as well, which is a neat little toy to play with. I guess I'll actually have to crack the manual open (can't remember the last time a game forced me to do that).

I'll probably spend a week getting the handle of things before taking it online. As an aside, the rankings of the online sport communities as based solely on my personal experiences on Xbox Live with the ESPN games:

Football -- assholes who talk endless amounts of trash, play as cheap as humanly possible, attempt to take advantage of every single exploit, and disconnect as soon as you go up by two touchdowns.

Basketball -- a lot of brothers. Shocking, I know. Plenty of trash talking, but it's mostly good natured. Rarely disconnect, but everyone wants to play as the Lakers, the Heat, the Cavs, or the Spurs.

Baseball -- boring, not really interested in talking at all, which I can definitely get behind. Very stiff learning curve, quite a few power players who enjoy beating up on noobs constantly.

Hockey -- fuck hockey.
