| This "game-breaking" tower you're describing is only available at the ends of rounds, once you've made enough money to not only upgrade the archer towers to their highest level but also to buy extra buffs for those towers. The archer towers suck at first so you do have to make decisions about what non-shitty towers you're going to pair them with.
It seems like there's a lot of game between the beginnings of rounds and the ends of rounds. You actually have to survive long enough to buy those towers. The mage tower is also game-breaking if you want to look at it that way: there's a buff where you can make them teleport guys backwards, so if you had a long line of those towers, no one would ever get through. But they're also expensive, the meat of the game is surviving long enough to buy that towers that win the rounds. |
