With Kirk's giant swelling hands in place of a mother freaking out on pot, Chekov running around NONONONONONONONONONONO, and a yo mama joke as 2nd act climax standing in for minstrel show robots.

Nerds latching on to Star Trek doesn't mean there was never any good to the series, just like how Monty Python was landmark comedy. Saying neither of those had any value or quality or greater themes kind of makes you an idiot. Most of the praise for the 2009 movie has less to do with the movie itself and more to do with people wanting to see nerds upset.

That's pretty much been your whole thing since you got here.
