I bought this because someone scoffed that it's Metarating was 64 by Worm 01/24/2013, 12:10am PST It's full of shitty escort and protect so far, but that's really just ultimately an extension of destroy X/X Fighters so I don't get the complaint. What else can you do in a space fighting game? You can have an escort mission or you can destroy all the enemy tie fighters. If those tie fighters are attacking XYZ then it's just destroy them in this time limit without having a time limit. I guess they could have put in a part where you have to listen for a guy crying in space crates? It's not ZOE or something, it's just a sort of normal space shooter where you can turn into a mech and rain chaos on totally unprepared enemies. It's sort of neat for that, not the worst 15 bucks I've spent on a game. The mouse sensitivity feels fucked up when you finally get the Strike Suit ship. My main complain is the game gives you upgrades for doing certain challenges each level, which I guess enables you to do other challenges which in turn gives you more upgrades. This might be a not so subtle "hey moron if everything isn't perfect you're playing wrong", but I'm not sure. A lot of weapons have a large lock on radius but the reticule is weird and stupid so sometimes it's hard to tell where you're hitting a frigate or one of it's many guns. Look at that! You know just where you're going to hit. There's a lot of locking on too. I guess I could agree with everyone's complaints if it's all escort missions but it's not so terrible for 15 bucks. When you get the Strike Suit the main gun feels like your not even shooting, which is really disappointing. A lot of it feels like you're holding down a mouse button until the enemy bars are reduced.
