I'm glad you didn't ask for an update on Binary Domain, because by I never did get around to it. 01/27/2013, 1:29pm PST I'm presently living in Nanaimo, an actual modern city that beats the decrepit, perpetually-rainy mill town where I used to live in every possible way. I'm still in the same inexplicably nice park view apartment I got when I moved here, a situation made all the more unlikely by its prime location a half-mile from downtown. It's the kind of apartment a struggling waitress would have on TV, it's awesome. And the best part is, I never have to listen to tribal chanting on Friday nights, or come downstairs on Saturday morning to find the doorknobs covered in human blood (I don't mean any of that in a racist way, I have nothing but respect for the proud warrior culture of our unemployable aboriginals, I just don't have a whole lot in common with them outside of the fact we both cash a government cheque - which is, admittedly, one thing more than I have in common with most people). I still can't really afford this place, but there's literally nothing cheaper available, so I figure I might as well enjoy it. And there's so much to do around here! Not only do they have a first-run movie theatre, they have MULTIPLE SCREENS in MULTIPLE LOCATIONS. Last summer, two of the original Kids in the Hall played an independent bookstore - they weren't the two you're thinking of, but it was cool nonetheless. I dunno, I'm content. It's not like I have to clean hotel rooms or something, or even get out of bed if I don't feel like it. Life is pretty sweet. I'd ask where you're living now, but I heard you picked on the wrong guy and now you're perpetually in danger of having your facebook account cross-referenced with your flickr account or whatever the fuck, so I understand if you don't want to disclose that information.
