Link never became the King after rescuing Zelda, he's some Beowulf type who never settles down I thought. Zelda was a secondary objective, she for whatever reason was necessary to destroy/save Hyrule. Also she showed Final Fantasy, again rescuing the Princess is like your first quest after which the game becomes about saving the world. Her request almost ends up feeling too fucking greedy. Nintendo should basically rewrite decades old IP because they have some kind of moral duty, new games which have female protagonists aren't enough. Mario and Zelda as games need to be rewritten in their next major release, otherwise PATRIARCHY.
