I put a bunch of fairly cheap desktop 128 GB SSDs into a RAID array . . . turns out this is a terrible idea and they all died *so fast*. An interesting experiment, but the number of reads/writes for a typical RAID is like a million times more than these things can handle, or at least that was the case a couple years ago. I presume they've become more robust.
