We are talking about bombs, not drugs. The French Police and anti-terrorism squads are so thorough and the OAS is so riddled with informants that the job has to be done in complete secrecy and their organization must not know they've hired an assassin or any details about him. They agree, but one of the leaders of the OAS asks him how they're supposed to raise $500,000 (in 1963). The assassin gives them a really good answer. "Use your network to rob some banks." So they do, and when any OAS member is caught during a robbery, all they can say is they were ordered to do it; they have no idea why they were ordered to do it, and as a result, the French authorities have no idea why the OAS is robbing banks. |
