That's not very relevant because Fez isn't even about pixel rotation, as much as it appears to be; it hardly bothers to explore that mechanic at all and contains exactly zero challenging or surprising puzzles or action sequences based in it
All its real depth is in the art style, the backstory, and the super-obscure optional cryptography puzzles that this guy lavished attention on for some weird reason
At heart this game has more in common with something like Myst than it does with Perspective or Echochrome; it was never really innovative, except maybe in how it works pretty hard to trick people into thinking it's a completely different kind of game than it is, which games don't usually do (probably for good reason) |
