Support troops become healbots when they level up by Fullofkittens 05/13/2013, 4:28pm PDT
Heavy troops become important when robot enemies start showing up, but not before then. But they've got to be leveled up so you still need to bring them along. Don't fire rockets unless it's absolutely necessary.

Once you get a leveled-up sniper you won't leave home without it, but they suck until they level up.

I think my final mix (of 6) was 2 supports, 2 assaults, a heavy and a sniper. You have to have 2 supports in case your support guy is the guy that gets instajacked by one of the more powerful bad guys.
