I'm a divorced mother of three college kids. While I was raising them alone I had no time or money for vacations, home improvements, dates, or my own education. Will it cause permanent damage to our relationship if I tell them to stay with their father or only come one weekend a month? I’ve worked as a secretary and also cared for my elderly mother. Isn't it my time to be happy?

Lady, you've just had a failed marriage and lost 18 years of your life to raising the resulting kids. Now that the kids are finally adults, why the hell did you immediately go out and get yourself a facebook fiancee? Is it because your ex husband got remarried right away and you can't stand the fact that he found a replacement faster? Now you tracked down some doof who you knew was still carrying a torch for you from fucking high school and you're rushing into another marriage to throw in your ex's face?
I'm assuming your two non-retarded kids aren't being clueless. (Dude! Do I spend the weekend getting shitfaced and chasing pussy, or do I spend it hanging out with my mom? I can't decide!) Believe me, Ready, when I tell you they're the best friends you have in the world. They know you're making a terrible mistake and they're intentionally cockblocking your facebook fiancee to make sure they don't end up with another 3 siblings (or however many kids your ex had with his new wife) that you'll be blaming your lack of happiness on for the next 18 years.
The opposite of Love isn't Hatred, it's indifference. Love and Hatred are just passion passed through either the good filter or the bad. Stop wasting your passion on your ex and making life decisions that revolve around him.
Get yourself a boyfriend and your non-retarded kids will give you all the privacy you want, no need to ask.
If you really want to hurt your ex, send the asperger kid to stay with him. |
