This is true. The instant your corp starts talking about setting up stations, leave. Get out immediately. POS warfare is a tedious mix of spreadsheet logistics and godawful boring standoffs. And it always progresses with these steps:

1. Assurances that it's just a couple stations and that they're still a small PVP corp.
2. Increasing corp chatter regarding logistics of maintaining stations.
3. More and more unable to join pirate ops because they're fucking around with POSes.
4. Distress calls start popping up for everyone to come defend POSes which end up being 75% enemy no shows 25% tedious sieges. Either one takes up half a day or more.
5. POS activity becomes mandatory. Increasing levels of corp leader shit fits when everyone doesn't immediately drop everything for POS crap (spending 6 hours sitting around the station for another false alarm).
6. Announcement that the corp is moving everything out to deep 0.0 and merging with one of the larger alliances of 1000+ members. All activity must now be approved by officers, subhumans who rank somewhere between WoW guild leaders and wikipedo editors.
7. Break off with a couple other members to strike out on your own brand new small pirate corp, start the cycle all over again.
