But this thought may be vaguely useful for keeping things the way they are, so obviously ignore the title. I typed something after two days without sleep, realized it read like early Tycho, and thankfully didn't post that shit. Anyway, I just wanted to say that I was trying to find something on a game review from 2011 or so and instead came across one of your collective pearls of wisdom - and here, Tycho's momentary influence or the insomnia would have me wax philosophical on how oysters make pearls but fuck that. This thread I found was impenetrable outside of the influence of site lodestones like when the site was taken down or some other loaded topics - you have to know who was posting as who, but also what in the fuck you people got up to, user history, all that stupid bullshit. For sure I'm interested if/where this intersects with getting good feedback on some game. Most of that's personal and I don't really give a fuck if MM was slapped down by the school administrators because of criticizing the administration before becoming a mediator insofar as finding good game reviews, I might sympathize or empathize but that's private life and I'm not exactly seeing invitations from everyone because this isn't your fucking tumblr, I just want to know he's the guy to go to on things like Hammerfight or that Fabio and the Fabio test are something to do with a means toward finding an efficient pathway and the experience it produces. But ultimately even from reading articles on the frontpage and asking questions there's zero insight into who knows what and how well. For all I know, Jonesy's lust for moon surveys in Endless Space is indicative of some kind of hidden gourmand's understanding of all games to do with space opera, but I can't tell who knows what so 'search by author' is not a valuable site function insofar as I'm concerned and it's not like Google indexes this shit. Who are you people, what do you know best? Asking you about nostalgia was a good start, but that's just some behind-the-curtain lark and I want the all-seeing, all-knowing Oz here when I want to know which game is bad. I wonder if Paul gets sores from his wheelchair.
