I could have used the term "silly fools" or "stupid fools" or similar terms instead of the phrase "cretinous reprobates," but I had wanted to be somewhat more nuanced in what I had to say. It also adds a bit of class to Caltrops since we end up becoming one of the top two sites on the Internet that uses the term "cretinous reprobates".
I'll go into this more when I speak about the comments about me and their obvious level of cretinous reprobatery - if there is such a phrase for the practice that a cretinous reprobate does when they're being stupid, nasty, and / or incompetent - but the fact remains that far too many of you on here have done nothing to show you rise above the level of the typical mob who goes out and tips over cars, fights with the cops, burns the dumpsters and pees in the streets after your favorite sports team wins (or loses) the last game of the championship / bowl / big contest.
You have failed to live up to what I do believe is your potential. You have the capacity to do better, but you take the low road. And too often you expose your lack of willingness to use your full potential when you proceed to jump in the gutter, play in the mud and the slime, and grab from the nearby, convenient garbage piles to throw stuff.
Do you even think about what you say? Do you think of ways to try and get other people to agree with you? Or do you immediately go for the obscenity and the cheap and easy insult? I think we find that too many of you - and yes, too often that includes me - are far to willing to just go for the easy and convenient stupid comment, insulting remark, fast obscenity, or otherwise show your either lack of desire to use your potential or evidence that you lack the willingness to use your brain to do better.
As I said, I'll talk about your insults of me in my own section, but, whether you want to make a statement or just want people to listen to you, it's much more difficult to take the high road and not stoop to acting stupidly, to use your intelligence to the best of your ability. But you know what? When you do that, even if people disagree with you, they'll respect your opinions. Plus, when you do things right, you've improved the level of discourse, and maybe, just maybe, you might convince other people over time that your ideas are right. Be insulting and nasty, and all you do is make people see you as a douchebag. Make a proper statement where you're polite and you attempt to show your reasons for what you have to say, even if they disagree with you, while you might not convince those people, you can quite possibly get them to accept that your opinions are worth listening to even if they disagree with most of what you have to say. And maybe occasionally you will win them over to your side.
