Oh yeah, those laptops are shit by Rafiki 12/21/2013, 7:25pm PST I guess what really chaps my ass about having to buy an entire new piece of hardware for Mac development is the fact that my home PC is perfectly fine and blows any laptop out of the water. I wanted to dual boot. I would have been happy to buy a copy of OSX for that. Your comment about installing Windows on a MacBook underscores my gripe. I can install Windows on pretty much anything under the sun and worst case scenario I'll have to download some drivers for it. In many cases the default Windows drivers will run fine, minus vendor-specific features. But OSX? NOPE. Only magic *~Apple Approved~* hardware. If I were buying my first computer or if I was running a Win2k laptop from 2002 and need to upgrade anyways, then I'd consider investing in a brand new and beefier Mac dual boot with that. But when I'm already invested in a PC with hardware that will be good for awhile? Macs aren't saving me shit. But since I'm probably in the 0.1% of potential customers affected by this, all I can do is just spread my asshole open and grit my teeth.
