Lindy West tweeted it as, "Important: Man Poses As Woman On Online Dating Site; Barely Lasts Two Hours"
It's not "important," Lindy. It's a fucking Redditor screwing around on Reddit.
I love that these broads are playing up the BARELY LASTS TWO HOURS!!! part of it.
Rebecca Rose's article starts out like this: "A Reddit user named OKCThrowaway22221 shared a pretty spectacular tale of his adventures in online dating while pretending to be a woman, and we need to talk about it."
Is this their thing now? You'd never see a man start an article that way. It's sad.
Rebecca also wrote this:
Again, he barely made it two fucking hours. A guy who was probably used to "boys being boys"(or dudes being dudes or whatever), could not handle the kind of messages that women get on a daily and even hourly basis. That's food for thought about the women who've been out there, dating online for months or even years. If that's what he endured during a short two-hour session—well, just imagine.
She put italics everywhere because she is a hysterical hole.
BY THE WAY, here is the real difference between a man getting e-mails from morons and women getting the same. The guy quietly closed his account. He didn't demand that OK Cupid change their entire business model. He didn't demand that the entirety of Internet dating change just for him. That's why Lindy West and Rebecca Rose are writing worthless columns for tabloids trying to use linguistic programming to tell you how "important" this is, and this guy won't think twice about this incident after this week. |
