| Silly me, I thought Ukranians playing Government and losing their shirts were enough to upstage typical cyberpunk writers. I forgot about mainland Asia.
Between boiling sewage to make food soylent green style, arresting hundreds of vendors for selling rat meat marked as lamb, seeing the sun only on an LCD screen, and putting the London Fog to shame we're past Neuromancer, but then they one-upped Singapore and classified reports of lead in crops as a state secret in the age of iphones. Of course people like me who want a game set in this awful crap exist. Maybe Warren Ellis can help us out with another one like Transmetropolitan now that Gibson's obsolete. |
