I played for an hour and six minutes, which is about as long as I've spent with any JRPG. I got as far as running errands in the little town. I was planning to go back and finish it at some point, but by now I've forgotten which layer of nested subquest I was on, and I really wasn't having fun anyway. Not being particularly experienced in this type of game or having any idea what my character's capabilities were, my strategy was to walk up to everything that looked vaguely interactive, press the spacebar to read the dialogue/instructions, and then just do whatever it said - which was always to walk up to something else and press the space bar. Is there ever any more to it? No offense, but that's not much of a game.
The only "bug" I encountered was the order you need to spacebar the statues in that one puzzle didn't seem to match up with the colours in the poem. Maybe I misread the poem?
Dodging the big, black balls was kind of fun. Have you considered making a whole game about dodging balls? I would probably play that. |

Maybe CRPGs let you visit a world, JRPGs take you on an adventure by stupid rookie 02/07/2014, 10:21am PST
(I think it's awesome you're making your own game, by the way.) by Jerry Whorebach 02/07/2014, 3:23pm PST
