| I was pleased that the Broncos alerted everyone that we could ignore the game altogether right at the very beginning. But as for bringing back old memories, only Buffalo fans or fans of teams that haven't won a national championship since 50 BIC (before imaginary christ) can appreciate how horrible and depressing those earlier losses were. This one was: eh, glad I didn't make any bets on this game. Those earlier ones were: oh God, this is why Broncos hats aren't sold in stores that sell every single other team other than Green Bay. (Was it a huge shock to the NFL when Favre was picked up by GB and they had to start selling their merchandise outside of Wisconsin, I wonder?)
Anyway, it was a bummer but nothing like the old days, really. I was listening to a comedian the other day who said, "If Earnest Byner doesn't fumble, I don't become a comedian" and I laughed and laughed. Haha your team sucks! Ah, now THOSE are some memories. As soon as he said he was a Cleveland fan I thought, "we burned your house down." |
