| In fact, it actively kills fun.
The hacking drone is near useless when you use it, ridiculous when the enemy uses it. I had a maxed mind control station to deal with the flagship missile launcher crewman, but very first thing in the battle I get hit with a hacking drone in my mind control station. Permanently disables it the entire fight. I lose, within the first 6 seconds of the fight because the RNG said, "fuck you". You cannot dislodge it or wait it out. It's like mind control with no way to counter it. The new species and new ship aren't fun either because their whole ship revolves around the new unfun stations. And then the flagship utilizes all the new unfun systems. They took the #1 universal complain about the game and doubled down on it. Amazing. The only welcome addition is finally being able to preview jump paths. |
