I think there's more ire about marketing and, lofty, 'community managers'. Not too dissimilar from the maligned mouthpiece reviewers looking to slide into PR.
The person in question didn't know/care about the material, but really why should she? Sure, ideally team members are passionate about their kid robot side-scroller.
The MO is to push hype, or [try to] disarm angry nerds, via social media. It's tantamount so a voice recording, or form letter spammed to a list of leads. Somebody's got to type up those mark--I mean, backer updates. |
