Did you play the Criterion Hot Pursuit? That looked like the funnest thing in the world, but I ended up hating it because the adaptive difficulty was just way too aggressive. It felt like nothing I did actually mattered until the final sixty seconds or so of each race (basically whenever the CPU drivers got their final slingshot). I could finish an event in 2'39" and lose, then finish the same event in 3'01" and win handily, it was absolutely infuriating. I golded all the events just because I really do have a need for speed, it's like a medical condition or something, but the only ones I actually enjoyed were the time trials - at least in those the target times were consistent. When the best part of your illegal street racing game is fucking TIME TRIALS, you know you done fucked up.
I bought the Criterion Most Wanted anyway and I'll probably get this one, too, whenever I can find a really sweet deal on it :( |
