Sure, sometimes you need to show problem solving, or approach to a situation. 3hrs, though? This sounds like a crummy lead being under the gun. Farming free work & taking what you've done to then toss it to somebody else for polish. Then they can turn around to their boss, and say that they've saved money with a *new* automation solution.
