Programs:
Notepad
Firefox
Tor Browser
Websites:
Outlook.com
Textfree
Fake Name Generator
Phase 1 (Firefox):
Create a few Outlook mail accounts - brewster85@outlook.com, brewster86@outlook.com, etc. (Microsoft lets you make two each day, but you can make a few more anonymously using Tor and then sign in to them all from your regular IP with no hassle.)
Create the maximum ten aliases for each Outlook account - brewster850@outlook.com, brewster851@outlook.com, etc. (click the gear icon in the upper right > select "Options" from the drop down menu > click "Create an Outlook.com alias"). Aliases are just alternate e-mail addresses that all feed the same inbox.
Create a notepad document for each Outlook account containing all eleven valid addresses for each inbox.
Go to Textfree and register a US phone number for each address. Username matches the part of the address before the "@", same simple password for everything. Like all foreigners I only know one US zip code (thanks Aaron Spelling) so I just use that. You have to confirm your e-mail address if you want to send texts but you only need to be able to receive them and I'm lazy so why bother.
Record each number under its associated address in the correct notepad document.
Phase 2 (Tor Browser):
An hour or two before the giveaway starts (10 AM PST, so like 8 AM maybe), go to Facebook and create an account for each e-mail/phone number combination, telling Tor to give me a New Identity before each one. Probably have to go through SMS verification each time, but that's what Textfree is for (Textfree is super laid back about multiple accounts, you can just keep signing in and out using a normal Firefox window while you register the Facebook accounts in Tor). Some of the Textfree phone numbers won't ever receive any SMSes for some reason, in that case just double up on one of the others (Facebook allows the same phone for a maximum of two unique profiles) and UPDATE THE NOTEPAD DOCUMENT ACCORDINGLY. Don't bother with any of that where did you go to highschool shit, I don't think it matters anyway (IRONY), just click Tor's New Identity button as soon as it says the verification was a success.
Phase 3 (Firefox):
Have Textfree and NeoGAF open in a regular Firefox window. When the giveaway address gets posted on GAF, open a new incognito window in Firefox and go. Immediately bookmark the giveaway page. Get a FREE MONEY code for the first address/phone number combo (will require passing through Facebook and most likely re-verifying the profile, which is easy enough since you still have Textfree open in your regular non-incognito Firefox window and know which number you associated with each profile) and paste it in the Notepad document (no time to enter them on Xbox.com now!). Close the incognito window, open a new one, return to your bookmark, and get a FREE MONEY code for the next combo. Repeat until they run out of codes.
For reference, this is what a completed brewster85.txt looks like. First line is e-mail, second is phone number (noting where I had to double up on a previous number), third is FREE MONEY code.

It's like one AM and I think typing out the story of the scam took longer than the scam itself, so I'm not even going to bother going back and checking to see if my tenses match up or whateverthefuck before I hit post, let me know if any part is unclear. |
