There is a guy named Fizgig that does (or pays for) beautiful restorations of games. The distinction as to whether or not he pays others for it or does it himself is irrelevant for me. I like seeing the pictures of the finished product.
Well, he bought a poster that was not what he expected. The above link is the unfortunate meltdown. Big with your head, not over it.
If you'd like to see how some of the games turn out, try this thread. I think a lot of those games have new cabs (perhaps all) but they just look so beautiful.
I mean, this just looks great. It's better than how any game looked after a month of being on location:
(There is a local guy making new cabinets as well, in Boulder. I think I am going to buy one and have a winter project to get one of the boards I own into a cab. Ghosts n' Goblins would be nice!)
