I'm sorry that this all happened in this way. I hope you know that I still treasure and respect your opinions.
If Wittgenstein has said, "Haha, that reminds me of this!" and linked to the Jerk City comment then perhaps all of this could have been avoided. But he didn't and the toxic backdrop in which we all communicate in 2014 can't be ignored. Things escalate. How many of us would sit by and take drive-by abuse from strangers?
I'd like to use this incident as the garden for something good. Maybe you could revisit this place in a year. Just for a bit, just to see. You could do it on Halloween and therefore pick a fake alias and it would be in the spirit of the holiday. I am going to effort to make this place less of a screechy den of downpunching hatred upon casual perusal as best I can within the framework of no moderation. I won't work a miracle, but rather than lament the fact that many of my posting colleagues from years ago no longer come here, I could at least start putting meaning behind those beliefs and try for change.
I miss you.
