Exosquad was the west's answer to Mobile Suit Gundam 20 years later by WITTGENSTEIN 11/08/2014, 8:38am PST I remember reading somewhere that they sort of modelled the Exosquad storyline based on the campaign in Western Europe during World War II. Meanwhile in Japan they modelled the Mobile Suit Gundam storyline on the island-hopping campaign in the Southwest Pacific.
