This is the only thing I know about the dude. What a douchebag. I guess he couldn't giftwrap a dram of smallpox. Her two cats are in perfect health. They've never been to the vet except for their shots, they will live to be 30. 8 years ago, owning no pets of my own... having never had a pet of my own, my ex-girlfriend told me that there was a farm she knew of with feral farm kitties. They would end up dead or hawk food. I said, "Get me the boy cat with the biggest head" (omg, patriarchy). She did. She then pulled the "He needs a friend!" (cat #2) and "We should adopt this stray!" (cat #3) tactics. When we broke up I kept the three cats because I felt their lives would be shit hanging out with her. They are paragons of health, having never been to the vet except for their shots; they will live to be 45. So that's 5 cats, 4 of which were the amazing recommendations of people no longer in the fucking picture. Every time I scoop a litter box, which is thrice daily, I curse them, Stew. My gal always wanted a dog so a few years ago she got a rescue golden retriever. It has separation and hunger issues. It freaks out and gets all panty and sweaty if it sees cats. We're working the dog through these issues. I've learned more about dog training and conditioning than I know about the 2009 New Orleans Saints, and I know where the 2009 Saints went for breakfast before they dropped 38 points on the Patriots that year. The dog is an Opening-to-Ultima 4-style living embodiment of health in spite of being crazy and she will easily live until she is 75 or 80. This brings us to the last dog. My gal had been occasionally dog-watching a grown-up golden retriever named Gritty (no relation). He is perfectly trained, never does anything wrong, is a joy to be around and the single most loving and calm, rational and reasonable life form I've ever encountered on Earth except for Brianna Wu. Gritty's owners couldn't have him any more (long story) so we adopted this perfect specimen of dogality. He is the only one we're always 100% happy with. He's had a tumor and trouble with growths around his eyes and probably has just a couple years left. It's going to be a dank couple of weeks when the glue holding everything together dies. You know the sewer level from that one game? That will be life without Gritty IRL. I am the worst one living here, natch. Whatever goodwill I might have had at a karmic level from providing for this unmoving fucking Battlestar Galactica of man's best friends is continually undone by the constant deep sighing and mental cursing of the type of garbage humans that can stick other people with pets and go WELP LOL. It's Christmastime, I made sure to get the biggest stocking, though. They're making Reese's peanut butter cups thicker than my dick these days. the dark and gritty...Ice Cream Jonsey!
