Last of Us is probably the game I hate the most that I've never played or so much as seen a let's play of. It just reeked of MASTERFUL STORYTELLING that sends critics like Tom Chick and self-important parents into award-giving frenzies while actual gameplayers hate it. Basically it seemed like anyone who liked Gone Home or Bioshock Infinite also loved Last of Us.

I know I should give TLOU a chance*, but it's like how you state it. Game reviewers are basically easily-led simpletons who lack any kind of depth when it comes to what a good story it (no offense to any of them out there) and if a game has a self-important quality those reviewers will lap it up.

I was curious about Ethan Carter too. All I heard was murder solving with a slight Alan Wake bent, and I'm in the mood for murder solving after L.A. Noir came in my mouth without even a warning.

Aside from the stink of the group giving Gone Home awards possibly on it, I'm worried that saving in Ethan Carter will be few and far between. We'll see shortly.
