Why the fuck would I even be talking about the experience of THE FIVE BEST PLAYERS IN THE WORLD? Who cares? That's not my experience, it's not your experience, why co-opt that experience to make this shit seem bigger than it is? Probably the same five guys end up at Dreamhack because they play a lot and know a lot about the game. They're probably the best and most skillful at a game that is a shit show of RNG.
Hearthstone is stupid, but it doesn't matter to most people, that's all I'm saying. I'm sure somewhere out there, there is a World Championship for Jarts. I'm pretty sure I don't have to treat Jarts with any sanctity or respect. If someone starts going on about how the same guy always wins the Jarts championship so I should accept the sportsmanship of Jarts, well I dunno he'd have to be some kind of idiot, right?
Though my point remains, who cares if the game is just an obfuscated coin flip? As long as it's sufficiently obfuscated, no one is going to care. |
