Dunno, that "Ataurus" splash screen looks pretty familiar.

The entire game looks like it was a last-stage 2600 ware. It's a good game! All of his games are good (that I've played). I can't stand people who leverage the IP of others to get ahead (Broforce is the lone exception), but this is more like the look and feel when it comes to presentation. Plus, a lot of the "look" of the 2600 was due to the archaic restrictions in hardware. I don't think that developers in the late 70s and 80s set out to make their games look the way Minotaur Rescue looks, it just happened. But yeah, Minter might say he wanted to distance himself from Atari, but not all of Atari.

I don't know if game developers need unions or agents, but some sort of advocacy would be great. Instead of blocking people on Twitter and giving worthless awards to their friends' games, it would be nice if there was a kind of association for game developers that people could willingly pay dues to that would stick up for their members in cases like this. Of course, the first thing that corporations like present-day Atari and EA try to do is join those groups, so who knows.

The problem at this point is that Atari has been sold so many times that it's intellectually wrong for them to have any claim on anything David Crane did for them in 1980. It feels wrong, but the law is not about my feelings.
