I don't know, I kind of have to sympathize with her by Rafiki 05/13/2015, 7:52pm PDT If her description of the job posting is accurate, it does lean heavily toward designer and not coder, and she's not selling herself as a programmer so I can't really fault her for not being able to do FizzBuzz. I also know someone who used to do front-end design work for websites, and they weren't even ALLOWED to do coding or scripting despite being able to and wanting to so positions like that do exist. And job postings can be notoriously shitty at really explaining the position being offered. If anything, she's getting too bent out of shape about being turned down. On the other hand, I can sympathize with the company because heavy jscript is now so totally commonplace I can see how they would absolutely expect any applicant to know it, as well as be floored at someone who claims to do front-end work but can't do FizzBuzz. But this lady's still dead right about their crap job description.
