I had been getting Chinese spam from a long unused fake Facebook account so I decide to go delete the thing.
The password has been changed! Hmmm...I guess it was hacked. Okay, just get a code to change the password.
You haven't logged in from this device before (new laptop)! Okay, answer security questions I never set up?
Security question: identify the following photos of people connected to you on Facebook! *shows tons of photos of strangers the hacker connected with*
Uhhh.....
"Hello please click this link to recover hacked Facebook accounts! Enter any previous password to begin securing your account!"
*enters old password*
"It looks like you haven't logged in from this device before! Please identify these photos of people connected to you on Facebook!"
Mandatory security questions that can be changed by anyone who hijacks your account as the first step in the process to recover your hijacked account. Amazing. |
