The concept is that directors were assigned a letter of the alphabet and presumably a max running time (because they use every letter in each film and each anthology is less than 2 hours). The result is that even if the majority of the shorts are bad, something has gotta land, and a lot of them are pretty good. It feels like Machine of Death: The Movie.
Not at all coincidentally, the worst shorts are the ones directed by people that were also in the V/H/S series. But those are mercifully short.
2 is better than 1 but I enjoyed them both. |
