Netflix Original J-Drama and very much like any other Asian drama you may have watched, sort of comes off like a combination sitcom/soap opera in my mind.
Follows a unfashionable college graduate who gets her first job in a high-end custom lingerie store. The subtitles for the first couple of episodes are pretty stiff including "What a soliloquist!" as an exclamation for walking in on someone talking to themselves but they feel more cleaned up in later episodes. It's a really cute show which is funny, light, and has many shots of lingerie bathed in daylight to boot. If you haven't watched J-Drama there are a lot of great shows out there to check out, I haven't watched a ton but I'd definitely say My Boss My Hero or Ikebukuro West Gate Park. Hero and Unebore Deka are great too, but of course none of those are on Netflix.
Coming off a binge of Daredevil, House of Cards, Breaking Bad, and The Killing this is really an enjoyable watch. |
