Five minutes of listing every single part in his computer, ten minutes of paging through graphics menus (as you can see, he has everything on ultra, except mip-maps which are 2x ultra), two minutes of "so it's one of THOSE kind of games", and finally, if we're very lucky, an extended rant about how it doesn't recognize his trackball as a super-trackball. And since enlightened PC games reviewers don't believe in handing out arbitrary numerical scores, the conclusion is always some variation on buy it in a Steam sale and probably never get around to it. This is the culture these people live in, this is what they aspire to be. |
