If you watch TV/movies, read books, etc., just for the drama, the Xs and Os, who did what and where and why and huh, then that's fine, and I can see why the show would not appeal to you. This approach assumes that the artistry in which the story is told is secondary to the story itself, and if you ask me, that's the wrong way to live. Meandering through the museum, pointing at the works and asking "yeah, but what does it mean, what's going on here".
I have no idea what's going on in Mr. Robot, but the artistry in which it's presented is so strong that I find I don't much care. Fuckin' Alf shows up? Sure, whatever.
