| Man fuck the ending of Human Revolution it's the worst ever in all aspects. Darrow's motivation is bullshit and completely out of place for a pragmatic genius millionaire, everyone turns into the same sort of vicious zombie regardless, three buttons plus suicide. The way that awful ending interacts with Mankind Divided is probably the single black mark on the game. They could have crafted the fear and eventual violence toward augs in a believable way but instead they just lean on the fucking 'incident'. It's a real shame since stories about how labourers were forced to be augmented are cut short with more 'incident' garbage, as if people needing to have their arms and legs chopped off to do manual labor wasn't tragic enough. We already had forced augmentation for war time, labor market competition forced augmentation, need for augmented brains in the corporate world. All those great conflicts overshadowed by Augs literally having a global chimp out that makes It ends up reducing something that could actually have had a little real world parity to people getting mad at the 'your tattoo makes you a horrible mother' facebook page. |
