so dreary and depressing. Writing and directing felt clunky. My reaction to many scenes was thinking "who directed this? Who wrote this? Some random people off the street?".
Cast was shit. Bland villain, lead actress way worse than Force Awakens. Ohh, Forest Whitaker, you're so much better than this. Watch Cape Town Cops, guys.
But I suppose the hard core SW nerds would like it, so much loooooore. It even has an honest to goodness (blind, asian) star wars kid in it.
Annoying and boring film, I dozed off a couple times. BUT, nice ending I guess, tied in well enough with episode IV.
I guess this is the Prometheus of Star Wars? Looks great but missing the point of the franchise. Oh wait Prometheus at least had a couple good actors, never mind. |
