The funny thing is, if someone you hadn't heard from in twenty years if at all made a Kickstarter that said, "I worked on Wizardry 7 and I want to make a new game that's just like that but better," they'd absolutely get a ton of takers. Cleve has actually been working on Grimoire for so long that the concept has gone from relevant to dated to bizarre and then wrapped around back to being some kind of relevant again, but the decades spent seeking attention and building his weird personal brand along with would-be hype for the game has ended up making it so much less appealing than if it had just come out of nowhere.
