I think the character of Thor can work pretty well as part of an ensemble. He's the Avengers' Joey, which unfortunately made his own movie Marvel's Joey. Some of the fish out of water stuff was "fun", I guess? The sequel was a derivative mess of Star Wars prequel and Lord of the Rings. It was so forgettable that every attempt I make to dredge up a specific memory is met with one from Hellboy 2. I didn't even know I saw Hellboy 2 until I tried to remember Thor 2! That's how inessential Thor 2 is.

I would like a movie where Thor makes out with his brother Loki for five full minutes, and I would like it to be so awkward and unsexy that all of tumblr instantly dries up and blows away. Then I would like the Hobbits to come out of their burrows and build a new tumblr, one with traditional values and guys fucking moles and moles wearing glasses and all the other stuff that's been driven underground by inclusivity and rainstorms. Mark Ruffalo cameo and boom, there's your Thor 3.
