I whiffed my first time as Jason too by fabio 06/10/2017, 11:19am PDT It's weird that the starting unlocked Jasons, 2 of them can't run which forces you to rely on the teleport powers which is super tricky to get the hang of at first. Start off picking up the 2 knives in your hut, because what the hell else are you going to do before your map teleport power (Morph) becomes available? Once you get morph, first step is either putting a trap on the phone fuse box and destroying all the power boxes (lightning bolts on the map). Turning out the lights builds up fear in the counselors, which will eventually cause them to glow red when you turn on your sense vision and stumble when trying to run. Use your Sense skill to look around. The white circles are sources of noise, which are usually counselors (but can be radios in buildings, or firecrackers). If a counselor is making noise inside, the whole building will be red. Also, use Sense in short pulses. It recharges way faster if you turn it off before it's fully drained. Keep an eye out when they get the car/boat running. It will turn red on the map and start moving. Use Morph to get in front of it. The car simply hitting you will stall it and force them to try and restart it. If they dodge you, use Shift (the short range blink teleport that puts you into Evil Dead POV mode) to get back in front of it. I finally figured out grab kills! The icons for the kills labeled 1-4 in the bottom right will light up. Counselors with pocket knives will automatically break away, and other players can attack and stun you while grabbing. I usually try to soften them up with a swing or two before trying to grab; if they break away, they'll be limping and easy to catch again.
