| Dexter is a laserdisc replacement board. Dragon's Lairs running on original equipment would be running on laserdisc players and those have pros and cons as to how well they have held up for 30 years. I pre-ordered a Dexter board because the medium fascinates me. Buying a real Dragon's Lair or Space Ace would seem to be a $1700+ or more venture, and they aren't good enough games to really justify having in my arcade, taking up limited room. They sure as shit are good enough and historically interesting enough to have playable in some form through the player.
I guess it ships at the end of July, will post updates as they happen. ICJ |
