| I would have enjoyed this game had I not played it immediately after finishing Hollow Knight. The combat is fucking awful. Lock on pew pew mash button. Dodging is easy, but good luck seeing what the hell you're supposed to dodge because the particle effect is blending in with either the background or the ten other particle effects in the area.
Hollow Knight combat: That giant motherfucker just wound up and swung his nail at me. I obviously should have dashed away before he swung, but I thought I could get another hit in. Ori combat: That whateveritis just shot a group of four pixel wide 40% opacity magic missiles at me. What asshole was in charge of the visual design? Is it the guy who killed your foster parent? No? Had he creatively nutted during the intro, draping himself across his desk in exhausted afterglow like some kind of baroque sculpture, while everyone else designed the actual gameplay?
