Was forced to upgrade when my hard drive died.
Pros:
-It's not the Windows 8 interface
-Functional search is back
Cons:
-It's not the Windows XP interface.
-What the fuck did they do to photo viewer? The default mousewheel cycles through photos instead of zooming? Who the fuck would want the mouse wheel to not zoom by default? Worse, for some reason you cannot cycle pictures unless you're zoomed out all the way. If you're zoomed in at all, the next/previous command is disabled. WHAT THE FUCKING SHIT?
-They try to replace the word "program" with "app" wherever possible. Trying to make Windows 8 into a mobile interface was a complete fucking failure, guys. Why are you still pushing this shit?
-Search default searches your computer AND the entire internet. You must specify when you want it to just search your computer, for which they use the term "apps". Fuck your newspeak.
-They obnoxiously try to push "Cortana", their version of Siri. Stop making everything a mobile interface. I have a damn keyboard in front of me. |
